The suspension is truly rubbish and having no slipper clutch and a non adjustable motor mount means it wheelies like crazy if you even look at the throttle stick. It's faster again, but tbh while it is fun, the LB is of very POOR design. ![]() My LB is currently running a 12T Hex brushed motor. Now you do have choices, you can opt for a brushless setup, or in my case as I had lots of spares from my racing days, fit a hotter brushed motor. And this is the sort of performance Tamiya should be providing straight out of the box. If you upgrade to a LiPo it does make it perform much better, I have to say I was really quite impressed with the performance improvement. I bought a Lunchbox at the end of Dec, so can vouch for this first hand. It's noisy and on NiMh massively under performs, even if this was 1990. All Tamiya's use a rather crappy sealed 27T single "silver" can brushed motor.
